There are days when I take a look at us and I wonder why have we defined boundaries between us. This piece of poetry is a longing from my heart for a unified Muslim fellowship.
We both have endured,
Neither of us realize who isolated us,
Do you care if your brother prays with his hands folded or collapsed,
O Umair, Whoever develops a gap between love isn’t from the beloved.
It is time for brothers to hug and embrace one another,
Forgo our minor differences since He won’t prevent us from attaining heaven as a result of them,
O Umair, we made two parts of this religion,
It’s about time we don’t drive the doves away.
I hope you continue to engage me and share with me on discovering new perspectives to living.
Thanks for reading,
