Value Of Loyalty

Where will you be in days to come?
When asked to pluck another plum,
When you are called to help a friend
Will you be there time and again?

Or will you go the way of others
That turn their backs upon their brothers
And seek their own satisfaction first
When the call it comes; the caller cursed.

No, I will be loyal all the way
To stand beside you at the gate
To be with you when needed most
To be a man and not a ghost

The value of loyalty is high
There is little else that I would buy
If indeed it could be bought and sold
For any amount of priceless gold.

And will you join me in this quest?
To show you value loyalty best?
To be the one that can be numbered
To hold the mark, alert, not slumbered.

I’m told of one that lived long ago
His loyalty shone like a rainbow
He did his most to help his friends
He did his most until the end.

Stories of loyalty sometimes are hard
Perhaps you fear it may break your heart
Surely it will, if you decide
To turn your back when the time arrives.

So stick with me and I will show
The path to happiness is not below,
It isn’t from Hell, it’s from above,
For loyalty is made with Love.

  2. I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I found this during my search for something concerning this.
